South Rajasthan, particularly the Aravalli region, is highly prone to droughts and irregular rainfall. Over time, this has led to a dry and degraded landscape with very little vegetation. As a result, the region faces increased soil erosion, poor water retention, and declining agricultural productivity, making local communities more vulnerable.

Seva Mandir is working to restore these degraded landscapes in the Aravalli hills through large-scale, community-led tree plantation efforts. So far, over 14 million saplings have been planted across the region, helping revive local ecology and strengthen rural livelihoods.
