Education and Seva Mandir

About Education Programs

Working in rural areas where routinely one third of the child population fails to receive any education at all, Seva Mandir supports programs that address the obstacles to school attendance: insufficient infrastructure, especially poor transportation; gender bias and the pressures of economic scarcity.

The organization administers over 180 preschools in more than 150 villages, offers residential camp learning opportunities for over 550 children annually, and, across 130 villages, runs more than 170 primary education alternatives to distant, overcrowded government schools.
